With over three decades of experience in the power sector, I am a seasoned leader in the renewable energy industry. Served as the Country Manager India at Statkraft, the largest generator of renewable energy in Europe and a global leader in hydropower. In this role, I led significant growth to the business in India which included business strategy, business development, project development, construction, operation, power market, stakeholder relations, and strategic direction in a matrix global organisation. Had been instrumental in phenomenal growth of Andritz India where I led Project Management of all projects in India for a decade and several international Hydro and Thermal projects. I have successfully led and executed multiple M&A deals, commercial contracts, and financing arrangements, leveraging my strong knowledge of the regulatory, financial, and technical aspects of the renewable energy market. I have represented the company on the boards of several project companies in India and Nepal. Have extensive experience in managing complex and large-scale hydro, solar, and wind projects, giving strategic direction and enabling the right decision-making being market centric. I am also the Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Hydro Group, where I advocate for the importance of hydropower and pump storage for the regulators and policy makers. I have attained certifications in project management, six sigma, directorship, and coaching skills. My strategic ambition is to be a key enabler of climate targets and energy transition through renewable energy for a sustainable future.
