My field of education is in Civil Technology. I received a scholarship for academic achievement for my first year at Durham College. After college I was hired at Canadian Pacific as a warehouse associate and was promoted to Team Leader after 3 years of service. I learned the importance of time management, scheduling as well as operating heavy equipment such as forklift and a shunt truck. After CP closed their doors I had a few transitional jobs; bar tender and drywall delivery. My next pursuit was with Union Energy, a utility company, at the call center in the payment processing department. I worked exclusively on Banner, Sage, Excel and MS office applications. I was promoted to Team Leader and eventually became part of the Quality Assurance team. I left Union Energy for an opportunity at Johnson Controls Inc. I worked on the automotive assembly line during the first year of my 14 year tenure. I applied and became a Quality Auditor for the next 6-7 years. Due to downsizing, I took on a role as a Material Handler/Inventory Controller. My next venture and recent long term employment was with Canopy Growth where I worked as a Shipper and then as a Post Harvest Associate. I am a Security Clearance Holder for responsible handling of cannabis with regards to all Health Canada regulations. At Canopy I learned inventory control, participated in First Aid training and became the onsite Fire Warden.After a short contract as a Team leader for Metro To Home-Custom Delivery in Oshawa, handling Ikea orders for their customers, excelling at my newest career venture. I was proud to be the Quality Control Technician for Cargowall Ltd. where I was excelling at my long term career objective working in Quality departments and leadership and coaching roles focusing (with my gained talents/experience/education) towards a promising future.I'm currently working back in the automotive sector. Successfully enrolled in General Motors where I load engines onto the chassis. My objective is to grow further and hopefully obtaining advancement and opportunities.My determination has saw me gain in personal achievements of losing 65 pounds and seeking a healthier lifestyle.I like to thrive at any challenges, opportunity presented and I never give up a chance to exceed expectations.
