In my 15 years of experience in the Textiles and Garments industry, I have worked across departments and roles.I have grown from being a Fashion Designer to overseeing manufacturing and development to leading a team of Fashion Designers and Merchandisers to finally being an Entrepreneur through my sheer grit, determination and hard work.• My role across business strategy, planning, logistics, production control, marketing & sales, to business finance, taxation apart from specific textile related roles have groomed my personality• I have been in high street fashion - creating patterns as per season trends and being a judge at celebrity catwalks for haute couture.• I have created supply chain network and strategies to source, manufacture - pret-a-porter for ready to wear collections in small as well as large numbers.My acumen in creating/visualizing a design and execution capabilities led to multiple new orders from Global Manufacturers and I was made an incharge of 15+ manufacturing units at Gokuldas Exports, a division of the Blackstone Group in India over the years.• I love to share my experiences with the team, to not only create the appropriate designs, patterns as well as present them in a manner that this creates a demand for their products• I planned and developed ranges for many US and European brands, working with their design teams, interacted with buyers visiting from across the globe and developing products to meet their brief. I have mentored my teams the concept of taking a product from scratch to its final point in the stores across the world• Further, I have liased closely with the Sales and marketing teams to generate product costings and then executing the same within costs to ensure a decent margin and profitability.• I have played a key role in sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastening and embellishments.• Moreover, I have also been looked at purchasing and upkeep of the right machinery from German and Italian vendors
