About Rainbow Leung, Cesga®

Rainbow is a conservationist obsessed with the ocean, sustainability, and climate. She is the founder of SOA Hong Kong- marine conservation organisation. She also focus on seagrass restoration and coastal management as, a PhD student at Swire Institute of Marine Science, University of Hong Kong. She has been tied to the sea since her childhood as she has the fishermen's ancestry flowing in her blood.After she completed her MSc in Conservation Biology in Australia, she came back to where she rooted and worked for serval Local and international Environmental NGOs including WWF-HK, TNC-HK, HKDCS, Youth4Nature, GYBN, and CoalitionWild. She has rich inter-discipline experience in science, social science, and policy as well as fieldwork across Asia-Pacific. Rainbow is also involved in a range of climate actions. She is leading the Asia Climate Rally in Hong Kong. She also partners with NESS.org, 350.org, the climate reality, Island Innovation, and the Asia Environmental Youth Network. She believes a conservationist should put people and wildlife together and rebuild those lost connections.

    - Sustainable Ocean Alliance is an organization aimed to connect young ocean professionals aged 18-35. The organization is now reaching over 140 countries and has over 6000 ocean leaders.
