- Sustainable Ocean Alliance is an organization aimed to connect young ocean professionals aged 18-35. The organization is now reaching over 140 countries and has over 6000 ocean leaders. - Project Management: Manage biodiversity survey contracted by CEDD, conducting monthly and quarterly intertidal & subtidal surveys through rapid assessment, beach seine, purse seine, transect and quadrat method to measure the species abundance, richness and biomass; Evaluate the design of Siu Ho Wan eco-shoreline including mangroves and rocky shore (Pilot project for Tung Chung New Town Extension)- Fieldwork research: Conducting surveys for CEDD Eco Shoreline trial project including testing out various designs, materials and usage of panels, tiles and different features across Hong Kong shoreline surrounded by different water bodies; identifying species at the site and in the laboratory for all the team projects, including CEDD eco-shoreline trial project, Biodiversity survey, Airport third runway eco-shoreline, Tsuen Wan West Promenade Eco-Shoreline- Scientific research: Assist with biofiltration experiment with the oyster from the basket (soft-engineering component at CEDD eco-shoreline project), eDNA research- Data management: Utilizing software to analyze collected data from the field and generate output using R studio, excel, Primer and CPCe- Science communication: Presenting evaluation of Siu Ho Wan eco-shoreline trial design at BECoME 2022; Manage all the eco-shoreline social media handlings from Facebook. - Youth4Nature (Y4N) is a youth-led, international non-profit organization, headquartered in Canada, that educates, empowers, and mobilizes young people to lead on solutions for the ecological and climate crises that are ambitious, backed by science, and grounded in environmental and intergenerational justice. - Provide feedback and input into the work of the chapter(s) through communication regionally and globally. - Support the delivery of the chapters’ activities & programs thru active engagement in events and campaigns; - Extending and diversifying its reach, in collaboration with Regional, Taskforce Directors, and Regional Groups
