As a Peer Mentor for first-semester students, I supported them in their required Cornerstone class, designed to ease their transition to college life, all while being a full-time student myself. I helped students learn about campus resources, navigate school websites, and engage in campus activities. I taught them how to effectively communicate with professors and explained the processes for adding, dropping, or withdrawing from classes. Additionally, I guided them on how to meet with an advisor and emphasized the importance of these meetings for their academic success. I held my own office hours to provide one-on-one support for struggling students, ensuring they had the resources and guidance they needed to thrive.
