I think we we are culture driven but often seek to influence tribal values within mass audiances. This is a significatly challenging objective when you are tying to envoke change at a community level. Technology can better our lives but at what cost to those that can not and in some cases will not adopt it. Education, opportunity, and resources are common factors in success.
