Started out as a Inspector, inspecting aerospace grade casting to exacting standards. Became involved in the tensile testing department where I took a lead role in developing the procedures for the departments as the company became an ISO 9002 Accredited Organisation. Later became a Quality Engineer and played a key role in the implementation of the ISO 9002 accreditation. Was a trained auditor for both internal and external processes,As the company developed their IT infrastructure I was involved with the implementation of the CNC CMM machine, and ran the CMM deprtment for 4 years, developing Macro's to transform the CMM's results into Customer / Machine Shop reports.The IT system requirement grew and I moved towards IT system management and spent my last 8 years at Tritech as The Group IT System Manager. I was responsible for the IT infrastructure for the expanding company and designed and installed a bare bones IT infrastructure at the new machining facility in Wrexham, North Wales. The infrastructure utilised the latest technologies and was delivered in time and in budget. The system is still providing network connectivity and reliably to the latest standards some 8 years after inception.As Group IT Manager I was also responsible for implementing WAN solution for additional Manufacturing sites the company had acquired in other areas of the UK. The systems chosen enabled both IT and Telephony connections between all sites in the Tritech Group.A part of my role I was also responsible for the administration of the ERP solution which spanned all three sites of the Tritech operation.
