Raine LeMay is an emerging independent filmmaker from Vancouver BC, with a background in illustration, sculpting, and animation. A graduate of Capilano University’s Motion Picture Arts program, Raine has earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts and continues to engage with the study and practice of film language and theory as a Director, Writer, and Production Designer.His recent work as a director and writer includes Viper (2021), which was officially nominated for a 2022 Leo Award and premiered at the 2022 Reelworld Film Festival in Toronto. As a production designer, he worked on Darkside (2022) which received an Audience Choice Award at the 2022 NFFTY film festival and Best Student Production at the 2022 Leo Awards.Early works including Mango (2016) and Bic: a day at the office (2017) both won for Best Animation at the Reel to Reel film festival in their respective years.
