I started my journey as the 'typical' 1stL support engineer for T-Online internet access, homepages and e-shops, continued with Dell computers, screens and printers, had some programming courses (C++, PHP, Java), changed to 2ndL for Outlook at Siemens and after this phase become a 'support manager' for the first time. Almost 7 years ago I started (as a System Administrator back then) to work for Searchmetrics - and it was a great experience with the necessity to continously learn about and implement different new and edge technologies and 'ways to work'. The role changed and evolved a lot and allowed me to gather huge knowledge of various technologies.But this adventure is going to come to an end soon and I'm now looking for a new challenge.During the track of transitioning from local OnPrem infrastructure to 'Cloud first' my role changed in different phases and, apart from the local stuff (like Windows- and Linux-Server and clients, firewalls, switches, accesspoints and virtualisation/storage clusters), I learned a lot about administrating users, accounts, devices and applications via Azure and Intune and virtualizing infrastructure in AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, Flow, Route53).Apart from interconnecting and administrating different communication solutions like HipChat, Slack, Teams and Zoom, I am also used to use and administrate different ticket and documentation tools (Redmine, RT, Jira, SDP, Confluence).Additionally I can at least read several programming languages - and created Python-, Bash- and Powershell- scripts for required functionalties.Although working highly independently in home office, I was always integrated and working together with a great team of System- and Business Applications managers.So whoever is actually looking for a team-compatible business applications, systems and network engineer with a passion for coding - I'm indeed open for offers!
