Facilitation tools: He co-created Toolification, an innovative training and dialogue format that is used to advise thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises worldwide. Other analog tools include facilitation concepts for dialogue processes, from strategy workshops in small groups to large participatory conference formats. Digital tools: He has co-developed and supervised the deployment of green finance eligibility appraisal processes with impact estimation features for financial institutions in the European Union and in Asia. Topically, he has extensive work experience in the areas of Green Finance, Climate Finance, Green Entrepreneurship, Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Production in more than 150 projects in Africa, Europe, China, South Asia and the South Caucasus. For example he has worked for 20 years on Green Finance particularly with the European Investment Bank and the Agence Francaise de Developpement. In the last 18 years he has significantly built up and developed the renowned SEED initiative for green enterprises. Rainer advises financial institutions on climate protection and green finance. Projects he has directed have helped banks in the implementation of green credit lines with a total value of more than one billion euros.Before aimplifin he worked for more than two decades at the leading independent think-and-do tank for climate, environment and development in Europe. Establishing and dynamically growing the programmes of Green Finance and Green Entrepreneurship as well as significantly contributing to several other programmes. He did also work for a subsidiary of the Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag (DIHK) to promote the export of German environmental technologies. Before that he worked for an energy supply company for two years.Rainer is a graduate of the international environmental technology course at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences and studied at the University of New South Wales in Sydney (Australia). In addition, he has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on sustainability management from the Leuphana University Lüneburg.
