Reviewed relevant literature and determined the appropriate parameters for FE simulations of fiber-reinforced composites using Classical Lamination Theory (CLT).Devised and executed test plans to validate the CLT estimations using the Building Block Approach to optimize the design of composite sandwich structures.Developed and tested a dual-matrix carbon-kevlar hinge mechanism to have tailored local stiffness by varying material compositions.

Led the repair of a composite aeroshell damaged due to vehicle roll-overs, employing the placement of a co-bonded stiffener to improve the structural rigidity.Worked jointly with co-lead to design and manufacture adhesive joints for upper to lower shell attachments.Closely collaborated with chassis team to integrate shell and chassis and facilitated the manufacturing of adhesive-bonded composite structural honeycomb sandwich panels.
