RAI has imparted very technical and specific to microfinance training at Kabul, Afghanistan. The objectives of the training was to enhance the capacity of the microfinance institutes to efficiently identify the poor segments of the society, can manage to check on quality data collection strategies in this regard that have to provide statistical results towards poverty alleviation.

Islamabad

This project, being quasi-experimental has been looking to extract causal impact of microfinance on poverty alleviation in Pakistan. Though complex designed, the project is aimed to use matching algorithms to look at balancing and matching characteristics of treatment and control through propensities of participation. It involves multiple indices to be developed including Poverty Score Card, Wealth Index and Women Empowerment. Multidimensional project in terms of output that is gender sensitive and rigorous statistical inference is required.

This project is very innovative in terms of its applications to grassroots level inclusive growth. It measures differences and key indicators at community level and prioritise development focused interventions by District and Local Government.It measures MDGs at community level, works very closely with Government Departments, isolate and focus on Youth Self-employed and Entrepreneurs and a focused study on their experiences. The study has entered into its final stage and results on findings will soon be disseminated.
