Planning, Implementing, Transitioning and Migration of different backup environments.Assist in designing data protection environment and work closely with solution architects to finalize the requirement.Continuous data protection service improvement across 25+ data center spread in different geo-locations globally.Planning license and capacity requirements across the sites.Heading various technical implementations for data protection and related storage appliances like NetApp, Fujitsu, Super Micro & CommVault appliances, Multi-brand Tape libraries.Creating best practice documents, implementation guides and procedures, run books and Visios.

Key Responsibilities- Working as subject matter expert for CommVault suit of products- Handling complete migration and transition process for smooth handover of responsibilities for backup environments.- Complete backup environment migration to BizCloud, internal DXC Data center.- Migrating complete backup environment from CommVault to NetBackup technology and vice versa.- Technically leading the team to help them with resolution of different issues which occurs at the time of monitoring the scheduled backups.- Experience in Oracle, Exchange, SQL Server Database and resolving their issues with backup tools.- Data protection of VMWARE Virtual Machines either as normal physical client or as a VMDK file with different transport modes like SAN, LAN or NBD.- Part of all the engineering implementation and changes done in the environment along with the co-ordination of Network Team, Windows\U​nix Team & Storage Team.- Deduplication and replication of data between offsite location and central Data Center.- Planning and designing changes in backup policies which would help the client to achieve better performance with the present storage setup.- Configuration of ISCSI Initiator\​Target with storage disk and data protection tool.- Experience in 2-Way\​3-Way backups\​Restore of NetApp Filer along with it configuration.- Regular training sessions to new trainees on Data Protection concepts and Commvault Suit of products.- Working closely with CommVault Technical Account Manger [TAM] to get resolution for different issues opened with them.- Preparing PPT’s and other documents and publish them over the intranet dashboard for the benefit of L1 and L2 engineers working for different CommVault Clients within CSC.

1) Assisting enterprise clients in critical disaster recovery solutions with the help of Syncsorts BareMetal Recovery option.2) Netapp Filer Configuration with Syncort software for snapshots backups to Filer Volumes.3) Mapping the snapshots to target machine using ISCSI Initiator/Target from Netapp Filer.4) Configuration of Agentless backups of different OS Platforms for Full Virtualization and Instant Virtualization on VMware Platform.

Key Responsibility  Conducting training sessions for advance features of the Simpana product suit for the support team. Interact professionally with customers and coworkers, both in verbal and written Providing enterprise level technical support on Commvault Galaxy/Simpana suite of products. Direct interaction with customers and partners in providing technical knowledge/troubleshooting on implementation of the product in their environment involving different Storage infrastructure’s on Fabric & IP based storage systems including different vendors Tape Libraries & Netapp Filers.  Handling technical issues on CommVault suite of products in areas of SAN and NAS involving SAN, Tape Library, NDMP backups (Netapp/EMC Celerra). Implementing global De-duplication and other related deduplication features for remote office backups to centralized data center locations. As a tier-2 engineer involving with development team on customer escalations after troubleshooting the issue to get fixes for the bugs.  Configuring EMC Celerra as a client machine to perform the backups of the File Systems. Configuring the Exchange and SQL agent for respective DB backups to disk and then auxcopying to tape with extended retention settings. Configuring Deduplication on client’s site with different RAID disks to save space.
