About Jay Barr

I am an extremely focused and driven individual that has been a standout at every organization I have ever been a part of. My only limitations are the ones that I have imposed on myself. I’ve built and led teams, helped several multi-million dollar businesses grow revenue, and even worked from an entry level position to the highest position at my previous company. All great accomplishments but If you want to really know about me, I am a person that does not let my past dictate my future, and I do not take my second chances for granted. I’ve been given another second chance in life by surviving cancer, and that experience has me living with even more purpose than before. My life's mission is to impact lives and make the dash between my start and end date mean something. I pride myself in wanting to see everyone win so I take my positive attitude into any environment and try to infect as many people as possible because I know when I changed my mind, my entire life changed and that can be true for anyone that wants it. Hard work, belief, dedication and helping others will get you anything you want in this world.

Listed skills include Customer Retention, Crm, Sales, Sales Process, and 44 others.

Really as always I fill any role needed at our company at any given time so the job description is vast, from personnel issues, training, scheduling, traveling, support, sales, escalations, collections, you name it, pretty much any function inside with staff or outside with our dealer partners or other business partners, I just do what is needed for us to continue to move in a positive direction. I would put our team of PM's up against any similar companies and I am sure we would outshine them all.. definitely outwork. They are the definition of the "Whatever It Takes" and "No Excuses" mantras. It was my ultimate pleasure to lead that bunch. Show less

One of my favorite roles during this time was to train and lead our internal BDC department. Trained the staff on phone skills, scripts, appointment setting, etc.. all BDC aspects for our in house call and transcription center. Finally I led a team of automotive professionals that made up our training team, as we launched CRMSuite across the nation. Fun times. Show less

Unfortunately my rise in the industry came as the industry was experiencing record meltdowns and I am not a member of the band on the Titanic, I couldn't just keep playing while the ship was sinking... Seriously the Mortgage industry was one of my most rewarding experiences and I retained my license because I always planned to re-enter the profession, that was until I found my current career as a trainer which is equally as flexible and rewarding. Loss Prevention Account Manager

Was responsible for account resolution, recovery and retention. Due to my ability to consistently impact and resolve delinquency, and my unique customer relations skills, I was moved time and time again into areas that were struggling and in each instance my presence resulted in best in class figures. Management often relied on me as the "go to guy" for getting results and also getting buy in from other employees on new initiatives or directives.

Sales Consultant And New Implementation Manager

Security Nissan

As a sales rep for Security Nissan, I sold new and pre-owned cars. Because of my natural success in sales and my strong customer relationship skills, I was able to work side by side with upper management, with championing, testing and implementation of various sales programs brought in to increase volume, and training green sales reps. Taking turns on the floor to assist reps in closing deals, and putting deals together on the desk, typical dealership life.
