I am a consulting engineer with fifty years of experience and based in Houston, Texas. I work worldwide providing wisdom, knowledge and understanding of chemical manufacturing and petroleum processing. Through my firm, Petro Project Engineering, Inc. I have been providing turn-key engineering services for design and construction of chemical manufacturing process plants.My services are used by attorneys, insurance companies to interpret technical information and testify in proceedings. I am abIe to explain complex scientific information in understandable terms. I have been admitted as an Engineering Expert in a Texas court.I have access to simulators like ASPENPLUS, PROII and DESIGN II.     My career industry spans 50 years in design and construction of petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants. As a consulting engineer to industry I :- provide front-end engineering and design developing PFDs, P &IDs;- solve existing environmental permitting and product quality problems;- assist in purchasing major equipment and construction;- generate equipment data sheets and engineering drawings- assist in finding technical people Much of my work originates at executing process simulators: I have used Simsci's PROCESS 4.01, ASPENPLUS, and HYSYS. I have been using Winsim's DESIGNII (Chemshare) for the last 30+ years in:- petroleum refining - crude oil distillation, reforming, hydrotreating;- ethylene ; feed preparation, quench, recovery and concentration;- fine chemicals - mercaptan, formaldehyde, DME, chlorinated solvents;- reforming processes - hydrogen, ammonia;- fuel ethanol using azeotropic distillation; - gas processing – turbo-expander, JT, compression, distillation.I have represented clients with EPA and state regulatory agencies on "Compliance Order" and similar matters. I have prepared and certified Air Emissions Inventories and Wastewater Permit Applications. I am familiar with regulations pertaining to processing, storage and transportation of toxic chemicals in the U.S.A. I also provide expert testimony and litigation support in cases involving petrochemical processing and have worked for law firms. My job is to study technical documents and review failed processes. I will spot weak assumptions and inadequate work. I will point out favorable and unfavorable facts. I will develop scientific testing to shed more light on the issue at hand.
