The defining question of my life is, "What if?" What if I defected from the med school/law school/IT expectation and studied history? What if I dedicated my graduate education to fighting the epidemic of domestic violence in my local South Asian community? What if, upon a mid-youth crisis, I stopped, dropped, and rolled to a completely new career path as an entrepreneur that honed in on the best aspects of my culture? Whenever I ask myself that one poignant question, magic happens. Most recently it has inspired me to found Dulhan, the newest wedding resource hub for South Asian Americans. Dulhan is not about me - it's a representation of what our culture has become and what we hope for it to be. We're bridging the gap between East and West, modernity and tradition, norms and innovation. "What if" has allowed me to join forces with powerful, intellectual women who bring out the best in each other. We are driven by curiosity, fueled by constraints, and live for creativity. Together we are bringing Dulhan's vision to fruition as we challenge the cultural status quo, ignite thought-provoking conversations, and provide unparalleled wedding services to the South Asian diaspora.
