I am currently working as a Business Manager for the Footwear/Leather goods, which also includes Safety Footwear, Gloves and High Visibility (PPE). I focus on customer contact and cross selling services for both UK and globally, bringing in new accounts as well as maintaining existing business. I also undertake the role of a Technical Consultant where I help and support customers to write Technical Manuals. I am a member of the Society of Shoe Fitters and can conduct Fit Assessments on all genders. I also organise and run the Basic Footwear Training Course.

I was employed as a Footwear Technical Manager where I was in charge of looking after the technical Team. My role was to ensure Footwear was manufactured to a very high standard. The job involved travelling to Brazil frequently making sure production was done correctly. I also arranged for Ethical and Technical Audits which were then uploaded on to SEDEX. I had to ensure that testing was carried out to retailer specifications and advise factories on improvements when failures occurred. I attended several Fit session which were held at various retailers. Greeenmark merged with Marchpole and moved to the centre of London. I left the company as I was head hunted by my previous Managing Director at Intertek.

I was successful in becoming a Business Manager for Footwear and Leathergoods where I developed and maintained business plans and delivered client satisfaction with new and existing customers. I always promoted global capabilities and cross selling all services. I organised and ran the Basic Footwear Training Courses. Having had many years of experience in various types of Footwear Manufacturing I was able to advice clients and colleagues with my technical expertise. I was involved with writing technical manuals. I am also a qualified Foot Fitter and a member of the Society of Shoe Fitters which enables me to talk and advise confidently.

I was employed as a Footwear Technologist. My job involved giving technical advice to suppliers right from the buying sample to the sealing sample and then on to the production before it’s shipped out. I also conducted fit assessment at a local Schools and Nurseries on children’s Footwear and occasionally visited stores for assessing returns.

I was a Senior Footwear Laboratory Technician, involved in co-ordinating numerous jobs to meet turnaround targets. I also carried out a number of inspections, some of which are requested by several mail-order companies and are carried out in accordance with BS 6001/ISO2859. Having gained my qualification as a Foot Fitter, I carried out professional foot fitting exercise at schools, Nurseries and in-house. The main requirements are to be familiar with test methods, including Store Group, British, European and International Standards.Additional duties included customer liaison, and providing them with technical support for Footwear and Leather goods.

The Company is involved in supplying Footwear by demand to customers in the U.K. My role included Technician/ Quality Controller which involved travelling overseas to advise and ensure that the footwear was made to British Standards. Mocci went into receivership and a month later both companies were amalgamated to form Park Lane shoes.
