Second-year art student, future graphic designer. My passion for graphic arts brought me to the School of Design at Republic Polytechnic, where I am working on my Diploma in Media Production and Design. Last semester I completed the Foundation program, which covers drawing, Single Cam Production, Color & Typography, and Interactive Media Design.The most valuable lesson I have learned from RP has been the importance of Planning before moving into the actual design. Even though I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer, I have enjoyed getting back to basics with sketches and lightboxes. This year I have learned more about Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro and I consider myself proficient in this software. Next year, I hope to complete a studio internship that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
