In my role, I lead field teams comprising up to 10 individuals, overseeing magnetotelluric and specialized 2D and 3D induced polarization surveys with meticulous attention to collecting high-quality data. I am responsible for conducting, collecting, and analyzing geophysical samples using various equipment such as magnetometers, data loggers, resistivity transmitters, and receivers. Additionally, I record and interpret geophysical information sourced from maps, reports, and boreholes, utilizing it to prepare detailed geophysical maps, cross-sectional diagrams, and comprehensive reports based on fieldwork observations. Ensuring adherence to stringent safety standards is paramount, and I conduct daily safety meetings, even on mine sites, to uphold these standards. Despite encountering challenging logistical, environmental, and terrain conditions globally, I have consistently delivered successful project outcomes.

I developed and implemented an annual environmental sustainability plan in line with the project's core standards. Identified activities, initiatives and practices that increase the project's positive impacts on the local environment while leading implementation. These activities also contribute to raising partners' and youth partners' environmental awareness. Identified small businesses in the local green economy for youth recipients of the Youth Innovation Fund and provide recommendations for accessing these opportunities. Collaborated with partners, staff and Business Advisors to develop and deliver training on green business development and integrating environmental sustainability strategies into business models.

Focused on researching and developing a climate change chapter for ‘Anthology of Iceland’. This includes how Iceland may be positively or negatively affected by the world’s changing climate, climate changes initiatives or regulations developing or in place in Iceland and the local attitude toward climate change. As well, this section will educate readers on various climate change topics such as temperature and precipitation variability, introduction to glaciers discussing types, formations, geology and melting implications and lastly suggested improvement to climate governance in Iceland.
