Development of PLEXOS Cloud, a cutting-edge multi-tenant energy market simulation engine on cloud, owning and enhancing the dataset management component. It provides users an ability to upload and change track large datasets for simulation and visualization purposes.Role and Responsibilities:- Spearheading backend development efforts to ensure the quality & performance of microservices- Writing comprehensive unit tests to ensure the robustness & reliability of the developed components- Utilizing Azure App Insights to diligently monitor APIs and maintain a high standard of service- Creating reusable libraries & components to promote code reusability across the application- Proficiently troubleshooting customer issues, non-performant APIs and deployment issues- Taking ownership of features and actively participating in arch discussions, leading them to successful implementationAccomplishments:- Successfully implemented a performant change tracking solution akin to a git like system, allowing users to collaborate and share datasets efficiently- Conducted a detailed comparison of querying frameworks - REST vs OData vs GraphQL. Adopted GraphQL, enabling consistent and efficient data retrieval- Designed and implemented robust and performant REST APIs, optimizing CRUD operations and identifying changes without requiring a full dataset diff, resulting into computational benefits- Led storage optimization efforts- Storing of timeseries data as parquet & efficiently querying them- Contributed to the development of an Authenticator app, seamlessly integrated with desktop applications, providing a unified SSO experience- Implemented a cross-environment unified metrics dashboard, offering a comprehensive view of the different usage metrics of the Platform- Built and deployed Grafana dashboards to monitor health metrics like failures, resource utilization, and processing times, enabling proactive issue triage & resolution
