As the PYP coordinator, I was the pedagogical leader of the school alongside the Principal. I led collaborative planning meetings across the school for different grade levels and was responsible for ensuring that all pedagogical aspects are discussed, information is disseminated and the IB Primary Years Program is planned, taught and assessed collaboratively. I worked collaboratively with the Principal and the educators to define the culture of the school, developing the programme and implementing it across the school to promote an understanding of the IB PYP. Facilitating inquiry, articulation of the programme and organising professional development for the staff by sending them to regional workshops, organising in-school PYP workshops, induction for new staff were an important part of my role. In collaboration with the Principal I worked on the strategic and operation plan for the school which was inspired by the ‘Action plan ‘of the IB PYP program. As the Senior Teacher for Pastoral Care, worked closely with teachers to support them in developing strategies to support children with additional needs in their classroom, Worked closely with the Principal and the PYP co-ordinator to implement policies and support the educators in delivering the curriculum. To commemorate the end of the Early years, as the K2 classroom teacher, I worked alongside the children and the teachers to present a Exhibition of children's learning.
