Coordinating local grassroots harm reduction outreach, education and advocacy efforts. Specifically, BRIDGES Coalition, a local movement to increase support for overdose prevention spaces in Baltimore, including deepening understanding of harm reduction in communities of color. Safer/supervised drug consumption spaces (SCS), or Overdose Prevention Sites (OPS), are harm reduction-centered spaces where people can safely consume or inject drugs without fear of overdose fatality or police harassment.

- Using an intersectional, humanist racial equity lens, I provide program development, evaluation, and database management expertise to community groups and programs, including meeting facilitation, strategic planning, data analysis, grant writing, and stakeholder organizing. - Maryland Department of Health: Chrysalis House Program Evaluation for two years- The Casey Foundation: Conducted a 3-month landscape analysis of youth leadership in Baltimore City for the Baltimore Civic Site. The landscape analysis included the development of a web-based survey, a listening tour, a comprehensive report, and work plan for internal program development.- The Relevancy Project: Provided program development, facilitation, and proposal writing support for an economic development-based program working to connect youth with training and mentorship networks- Youth Unlocked: Provided program evaluation expertise to a youth engagement-based program working to reduce arrests and strengthen relationships between police and communities

- Provided consulting, facilitation, training, and research support to deepen understanding of racial equity and inclusion within client institutions and make recommendations for establishing racial equity in all aspects of the institution's climate and culture. Clients include: Goucher College, Humanim, Baltimore County Public Schools. - Organized monthly in person public educational events on the impact of race on a variety of topics.

My main responsibility was to coordinate the Community Advisory Board for a community-based women's health study. This study evaluates the impact of Baltimore Police Department policing policies, behavior and attitudes on the well-being of street-based sex workers who identify as women. This women's health study is intended to identify more appropriate interventions to increase health outcomes for women who depend on sex and improve interactions with police officers.

Coordinate the Evaluation Team for the Baltimore City LEAD Planning Grant: LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion) is a pre-booking community-oriented programs that was piloted in Seattle, WA as an alternative to detention for people often targeted for low-level drug arrests and prostitution arrests. Behavioral Health System Baltimore received a one-year planning grant from OSI to develop a strategic plan and set up local systems to pilot LEAD in Baltimore.

Conducted an environmental scan and collaboratively developed a strategic plan intended to meet Baltimore City Health Commissioner’s goal of reducing opioid overdose rates by 50% in three years. The plan included: public education efforts; targeted intervention strategies; broad naloxone dissemination; and, increasing access to treatment and recovery services for people who experienced overdose. I was also responsible for developing strategies for sustainability and capacity building.

• Advised Open Society Institute (OSI)-Baltimore’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice (CJJ) Program Director on all program-related decisions, including strategy, communications, and the $1.1M program budget• Managed day-to-day operations of the CJJ Program during Director’s sabbatical in 2013• Each year, reviewed ~ 20 grant proposals, drafted ~15 recommendations, and oversaw ~ 25 projects• Provided the following expertise to partners and grantees: data collection and analysis; strategic policy and procedure implementation; and, research, editing and writing of various media, including journal articles• Managed Medicaid Enrollment for Maryland Prisoners Project: facilitated information-gathering and strategy planning meetings with Maryland’s public safety and health departments, vendors, and community-based health programs; developed protocol for project implementation; and drafted budget• Monitored and supported the Campaign to Reduce Youth Arrests: evaluated police training curriculums and best practices; analyzed Baltimore Police Department’s youth arrest data; developed quarterly reports on youth arrest rates by charge; and distributed quarterly reports to advocates and local officials • Trained OSI-Baltimore program staff in nonprofit financial analysis, including review of IRS documents, audits, and organizational budgets; regularly monitored financial position of grantees
