Malawi

I managed this firm in Malawi, an agro-processing business owned by my family. We processed (mostly) pigeon peas into split peas; oilseeds such as peanuts and sunflower into oil; and rice.This is where my interest developed of integrating agro-processing and power production for self powered systems suitable for developing countries. This is a very exciting development, which is still a work in progress, but a very active area in the world today.
