Dr. Rajan Vaz, brings over 30 years of broad experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry initially as a practitioner and subsequently as a founder manager. Prior to his most recent role as a Managing Director of CDC Global Services, Rajan has been a serial entrepreneur and founded several successful software and technology firms including Integral Information Systems whose products are now part of larger enterprises such as AspenTech (Nasdaq: AZPN). Rajan’s last venture was Software Galeria, Inc. an IT services company based in New Jersey, focused primarily on project and process outsourcing. In 2000, Software Galeria was purchased by CDC Corporation (formerly known as chinadotcom), a leading public enterprise software and IT services firm (Nasdaq: CHINA). At CDC Corporation, besides overseeing the management and growth strategy, Rajan also led most of the company’s M&A efforts, being responsible for the entire M&A life-cycle and successfully closing and integrating more than fifteen transactions. Rajan has extensive consulting experience with several technology firms including ABB Lummus, AspenTech and Air Products and Chemicals. Over the years Rajan has been honored with numerous awards including the President’s Award for an Outstanding Asian American, in 2008. In addition to Information Technology, Rajan has contributed to the field of Chemical Engineering through extensive research and development activities and has several innovations and publications to his credit. Rajan earned his doctorate in engineering from Oklahoma State University after receiving his B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
