Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with numerous talented and passionate teams; we have successfully delivered over 115 rail projects. Our work has often been highly complex and subject to stringent budgetary and time constraints. The keys to our success have been meticulous planning, unwavering attention to detail, effective use of technology and collaboration. 
Leading teams from diverse backgrounds and nations necessitates a profound understanding of various cultures and perspectives. From my experiences, I've learnt that cultivating genuine connections with people is paramount to unlocking their full potential. Sometimes, even the simple act of listening and offering support can save a project!

I was offered the incredible opportunity of taking an international transfer to Qatar from our UK office. I played an integral role in opening Softech Rail’s first Middle East office. I was particularly honoured to be a part of the UK Trade and Investment mission to export the UK’s rail industry in the Middle East. Our mission was to acquire new railway business for the Doha Metro and GCC Rail Projects.It was a very testing time in my career; working in an unknown country and culture. The role taught me patience, challenged all of my skills and took me far away from my comfort zones. I was reporting to the CEO and was supported by our teams in Qatar, the UK and India. Some key parts of my role were:• Understanding and studying the working culture and business ethics in Qatar• Tendering for rail works with other rail companies for Qatari Diar • Gathering, processing and actioning market intelligence for the Qatari rail industry• Pitching to companies for partnership and contracts with our CEO• Client entertainment and networking• Creating and executing sales and marketing plans• Getting approved supplier status with key companies such as Q-Rail, Louis Berger and Dolphin Energy.• Liaising with the UK Trade and Industry division in the British embassy in Qatar to seek their help in gaining business• Liaising with the company's international offices in the UK and across India for their technical support and professional guidance• Recruiting for railway, healthcare and oil and gas professionals• Creating and managing IT infrastructure for all middle east operations

I helped manage various Rail Infrastructure projects from GRIP 3 to GRIP 5. The list and activities I undertook in each project are listed below:1) Developing project programmes using Microsoft Project2) Managing and coordinating multiple design teams across multiple cities and countries3) Dealing with external and internal queries 4) Liaising with the Testers and external contractors 5) Helping to liase with clients to resolve queries6) Managing the communication between teams, sub-contractors and clientsI also acted as the Document Controller for the following Signalling projects:1) Richmond TETS project: 2) Clapham Junction SDO and TRTS GRIP 5 3) Redhill, Tattenham and Eastbourne Sidings GRIP 3 - 54) Littlehaven Platform Extension GRIP 3 - 55) Shephard Bush SDO GRIP 5During this time; I also took more IT responsibilities to cut the company’s IT support costs. I started a company-wide initiative to make the IT infrastructure more efficient and reliable through hardware and software upgrades end to end. The purpose of this was also to reduce downtime of any of the company’s equipment whilst also reducing the company’s IT support requirements.
