As part of their Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting, they envision to use an application that would enable their actuaries to carry out analysis on Insurance data in the form of premiums and claims. This application would comprise of 3 main accounts namely the Gross P&L, Reinsurance P&L and Net P&L. The current manual process was error prone and not customizable. This application is intended to be a used as a tool for carrying out actuarial analysis and provides flexibility in various aspects. This Application was being developed using SAS as business layer and the presentation layer is being developed using J2EE

The project was divided into various ‘applications’ into which the reports were segregated. The reports were migrated in passes called ‘waves’ for overall efficiency.
