- Worked with Dr. Gustafson on HINT Benchmark. HINT benchmark is a universal benchmark to measure performance of serial and parallel machines.- Created APPMAP technology with Dr. Gustafson. APPMAP is an application signature of a workload. The convolution APPMAP with HINT is a good predictor for hardware performance.- Studied several issues in parallel processing such as parallel file systems, algorithms, and hardware-software interaction. - Studied scientific workloads such as GAMESS and several CPU benchmarks.- Evaluated several commodity clusters (PCs and Mac) and compared clusters of simultaneously multiprocessor servers (SMP) with cluster of single processor servers.- Worked on numerous parallel, parallel-vector, and serial machines - Interacted with many scientists and physicists associated with the laboratory.
