My journey as the Sectional Head for the Pilotless Target Aircraft – Lakshya, developed indigenously by DRDO, marked the inception of my professional voyage. I played a pivotal role in representing the Naval department and collaborated closely with ADE (Aeronautic Development Establishment) and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. to orchestrate the induction of this cutting-edge technology into the services. Leading a team of 50-60 experts, I oversaw the successful integration of the Pilotless Target Aircraft across various platforms and spearheaded trials onboard naval ships and defence establishments. Moreover, I played a central role in establishing security measures in line with Naval requirements, ensuring a seamless transition.As the Staff Officer to CATO Headquarters Western Naval Command, I served as a key member of the Naval Aviation Secretariat and actively contributed to the analysis and planning of operational tasks. My responsibilities extended to the management of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network, guaranteeing seamless communication and data exchange. Additionally, I managed logistics and ensured the security and safety of aircraft onboard ships, a role of paramount importance for operational readiness.In my capacity as the Naval Liaison Cell Staff Officer to the Officer in Charge and Divisional Head, I spearheaded efforts to streamline the handing/taking over procedure of Naval Aircraft for major technical inspections at HAL (Barrackpore). My attention to detail extended to the assessment of bills charged by HAL to the Navy, following stringent audit procedures. One of my proudest achievements during this tenure was the successful representation of Indian Naval Aviation at the Kolkata Aviation Expo, with esteemed personalities such as Bengal Transport Minister and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev as Chief Guests for three consecutive years.
