Established in 2004 by the Department of Rural Development of the Government of Bihar, this factory was the first tea manufacturing unit in Bihar State to be set up under the joint initiative of the Central and State governments. Its primary objective was to support and empower small tea leaf growers in the region. Despite being constructed and equipped with machinery, the factory remained closed for nearly a decade.
