Key Responsibilities for Headend: 1. Working on a group of servers – DNCS, MAS, TS Broadcaster, Encoder, Multiplexer, GQAM, CMTS. 2. Involved in Code and Stack download (OCAP) processes via MAS(Mystro Application Server) and TSBroadcaster on STB(Set Top Box). 3. Creating Sources, Source definitions, Channel maps and provisioning services from the Head End. 4. Provisioning of STB & creating various packages through Headend using DNCS (Digital Network Controller System) 5. Setup and configure test environments for set top boxes. 6.  Digital and analog headend installation and survey of site before installation. Preparation of BOM (Bill of Material) for digital and analog headend enquiry as per client channel plan. New software modification with more STB protection feature using parameters like network name, network id, bouquet id etc. & then testing of MPEG-2/4 STB after new software received from developer!! New software upgradation of all Luminence & Winersat product and verification it is working fine!! Co-ordinated with the “NDS, SA, Sumavision and Conax” Engineers to implement or modify the SI Information. Repairing over software and testing of all products of Winersat. Repairing over software and testing on all products of Triscope. Repairing over software and testing on all products of Luminance.

 Taking care of digital Headend of “Scopus Video Networks & Harmonic Inc.”, which works with MPEG-2 technology. Maintaining Head End platform: Execution of daily system operations; Execution of routine system checks; Implementation of service changes; Problem solving; Design, work preparation and implementation of system modifications/changes/ extensions, including rework system documentation; Tuning of IRD (Interrupt receiver decoder) & CID (Common interface decryptor) as per satellite, frequency & symbol rate along with corresponding FEC.. Tuning of decoders as per satellite, frequency & symbol rate for pay channels; those are running in digital through ENC (Encoder). IVG7000, IVG7200 & IVG7300 (Intelligence video gateway) configuration & its scrambling. Prostream configuration & its scrambling. Edge QAM configuration of Harmonic & Motorola. Responsible for regularly uploading EPG (Electronic Program Guide). Creation of bouquet’s. Creation of mosaic’s. New software testing, activation and deactivation of STB’s. Co-ordinate with the manufacture (Scopus, Harmonic and Cisco) to modify the product. Digital streams & Analog channels signal quality and strength, BSNL Indore link & 12Mbps bandwidth multiplexer status. ACT-(Digital headend (Scopus & Harmonic) /Indore) daily activity report. Taking combined RF reading for digital, 3 times a day (daily basis), & maintaining it for digital 72.5 to 73 dB.Analog Headend: Maintenance and upgradation of Analog headend. Monitoring daily transmission statistics, investing cause of out stages, trouble-shooting and repair, planning & technical aspects of transmission and follow ups. ACT-(Analog headend (Winersat) /INDORE) daily Headend activity Report. Taking combined RF reading for both analog & digital, 3 times a day (daily basis), & maintaining it for analog 82.5 to 83 dB.
