This resulted in settlement and closure of more than 300 cases which made organization saves huge litigation cost of Rs.5 million per annum and helped to become organization which treat the customer fairly. Root cause of each and every case was ascertained in order to reduce the litigation. MIS was prepared highlighting the Root cause and its preventive measures, which were discussed with respective departments such as Claims, Customer Care, Facility, and Agency etc. As such the potential litigation was highlighted at the legal notice stage and decision was taken whether to contest or settle.
