KEY DELIVERABLES:- System administration in Linux flavor and Production Web environment.- Deploy and Maintain OpenStack components.- New MCP (Mirantis Cloud Platform) OpenStack Cloud deployments.- Kubernetes deployments.- Automate the day to day jobs using scripts (Shell/Python) Configuration Tool (Salt/Ansible).- Follow ITIL Architecture for change, release, incident and problem management activities.- Work in close coordination with the development and QA team such that the application is in line with customer's expectation.- Document processes, systems, and their associated configurations.- Server provisioning and deploying of new resources using OpenStack.- Analyse, troubleshoot and debug deployment issues and provide timely solutions.- Root cause analysis and resolution of issue(s).

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Installing, configuring and maintaining Red Hat and Windows Servers- Implement, and maintain web (Apache, IIS) and application servers (Jboss, Tomcat and related configurations and software). Provide 24x7x365 second-level on call support as part of a rotation for high-profile travel-related websites hosted Red Hat and Windows platforms.- Systematically troubleshoot difficult and/or complex application, system, and/or network issues as they arise- Define and document a process to ensure that the components that make up a production service have adequate capacity and scalability to handle anticipated traffic volumes.- Act as part of the implementation team as changes are being introduced into the certification/staging and production environments. Perform gatekeeper role to ensure that the production environment is protected from change.- Automation of maintenance and operations activities through scripting- Work closely with product development, Network and Database teams on technical hardware and software issues as well as proposals for enhancements to improve site availability, reliability, and/or performance.- Responsible for the smooth transition of new and modified services into production including the delivery of a Software Delivery Pack.- Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of systems.TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, APTITUDE:- Advanced understanding of specific technologies/systems such as Vmware VSphere, Red Hat and Windows, web/application servers (Apache, IIS, Tomcat, JBoss) and web-based architecture.- Exp in tools like Nagios, Cacti, Sensu, BMC, Service Now etc.- ITIL Standards on Incident/Change and Problem management·

- The job involved performing hardware/software configuration analysis of the servers (Windows/Linux/VM) before handoff.- Testing of applications/servers in Production Environment- Working in various time zones depending upon business requirements.- Setup customers for PCI compliance.- Regular audit of customer’s entire environment.- Regular checks of backup plans, and running state.- System process and Database monitoring at all levels- Monitoring performance of server using certain tools like Nocpulse, Zenoss, Nagios, Tmart and Gomez etc.- Checking the network builds and database connectivity of the servers.- Ensuring essential services are enabled and running on servers- Evaluate various aspects of a customer regarding their applications and effect of same on their hardware quality- Troubleshoot, report, and follow up on all defects found- Work with Infrastructure Team, Activation Team and Service Delivery Managers closely till customer goes live.

- Configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the domain controllers, which run on Windows 2000. User account data base creation, defining group policy, network security, managing the File and Print server, Email server, DNS and DHCP server of the company.- Validation of network file access, network file printing, remote desktop, software and hardware upgrades.- Configuring Firewall for unwanted access.- Maintenance / Troubleshooting / Configuration (first level) of Nortel Meridian Option 81C at our site- Maintaining user, system & Switch administration in Nortel Networks- Symposium Call Center Server.- Coordinating with Technical Team in Denver (Teletech Branch, USA) for regular issues.- Responsible for Legato and Tape ware systems to provide Server and Workstation data backup.- Responsible for escalation of any production outage and coordination with the client.- Participation in Tech Calls for researching on unresolved issues or incidents.- Handling day to day operation of troubleshooting network communications issues.- Equipment worked on includes Cisco 3700, 3800 series Router, Cisco Catalyst 2950, 3500, 6500, WS-C6500-E Switch. - Working in Active Directory environment including DNS, DHCP and VLAN.- Designing and implementing group policies as per process requirements.- Monitoring network and server activity for performance and reliability.- Maintaining established SLAs.Nortel Product Knowledge: Trained on Meridian by Nortel Integrator. Maintaining, Troubleshooting& configuring (first level) Nortel Meridian 81C.- Support to helpdesk via customer care email & contact numbers- Responsible for escalation to service provider and follow up for RCA- Monitor various alarms on device consoles and reporting to next level- Check initial causes of failure by checking loop and status commands- Remotely change phone features through OTM console- Responsible for physical infrastructure setup and product up gradation
