Aksharshala, guided by the principle of 'Each One, Teach One,' is dedicated to providing education to children from underprivileged sections, including those of laborers and workers in the institute.As the Head of Department at Aksharshala, Kritash Club, IIT Jammu, I spearheaded social welfare initiatives with a focus on education. During my tenure, we organized a computer workshop to provide basic and necessary skills and knowledge of computers and the internet to local underprivileged students. I oversaw operations and led a team of college students. Beyond the workshop, our proactive visits to government schools and local libraries allowed us to understand the unique situations of students, ensuring our initiatives were tailored to their needs. This comprehensive approach fostered a community of learning and support within the underprivileged sections of society.
