Rajeev was General Manager @ Universal Music Group, India. A vivid strategist, executionist and excellent at client relationship management.Rajeev was EMI Music Head, Commercial & Revenue Development, overseeing the company’s Label Sales and Commercial Strategy for India. He is responsible for management of the company’s ever-increasing streams of new and non-traditional revenue, including all Commercial Digital and Physical initiatives, Merchandise, Brand Partnerships, and EMI’s Synch & Licensing divisions.A highlight of Rajeev’s tenure as Head, Commercial & Revenue Development, is his instrumental role in leading the Commercial team that worked with Pernod Ricard, United Spirits Ltd, HSBC, IDBI, EXIM Bank, ICICI, P9, Standard Chartered Bank, Midday Infomedia Ltd, Hathway, Emcure Pharma, Orchid Pharma in 2010, and collaborated with all parties on creation of the groundbreaking marketing and execution plans. The division experienced much success under Rajeev’s leadership, including more than doubling revenue from 2010 to 2013. Rajeev joined EMI in 2010 and has earlier, as Head of Sales for Times Music in India served in a number of senior level sales and commercial roles within the company throughout the past ten years. He first began his career as a flight attendant-inflight catering services, and then to a grueling Medical Sales experience, then onto consumer durables sales co – BPL Ltd., before joining Padmini Music in 1994 where he started the successful Music label. In 1999, he left Padmini to become Sr.Manager of Times Music - India, enjoying an unprecedented run of chart and sales success.Lala left Times in late 2009 to start his own successful music consulting business. Till 2010, he co-directed Rock&Raaga Productions (I) Pvt Ltd.Expanding to offer a full range of services and new revenue streams for EMI’s artists, including Marketing, Promotion, Commercial Development, Branding, Synch & Licensing, Lifestyle Marketing and Business Affairs.
