Worked primarily on Healthcare applications and projects that spanned technologies across the Healthcare technology areas in the US: EHRs (Epic, AllScripts, Athena), interoperability mandates (FHIR), remote patient monitoring, migration to cloud, move to value-based care models and clinical workflows.

Led a distributed (UK, US, Brazil, India) engineering team (Dev, QA, DevOps) and successfully delivered one major release every four months, each comprising of several large feature sets and projects such as: migration of infrastructure to MS Azure, chatbots, next generation thin (Angular) and desktop (Electron) clients, WebRTC support in iOS/Android SDKs, CRM integration, Salesforce AppExchange App, Twilio telephony integration, etc. Supported large key clients through their implementations and deployments.

Provided consulting services to technology companies primarily in the areas of full-stack, AI/ML, data engineering, big-data along with project management, and management of distributed engineering and QA teams. Co-founded Umber Systems Inc. (backed by North Bridge Venture Partners) with a vision to provide a multipurpose data analytics platform for mobile operators. Umber Systems and GroundTruth merged in 2011 to form Zettics.Earlier on, prototyped several iterations of the end-to-end system. Conceived product's configurable user-interface architecture that enabled drill-downs into multiple dimensions. Implemented scalable, distributed, multi-threaded, performant data mapping and processing engine. Assisted in the design of data warehouse star schema, loading, aggregation and reporting modules. Maintained and enhanced a pre-sales iOS application. Owned several deployment projects. Part of the team responsible for big data architecture and initiatives: Netezza, Hadoop/HBase, IBM Streams, Apache Storm.Zettic's platform is now deployed at multiple operators and processes billions of records from millions of users per day.

Directed development of Operations Center, a web based data management system. This product was part of handheld based retail solution suite offered in the Direct Store Delivery (DSD), Equipment Service Management (ESM) and Retail Execution markets.Managed a blend of onshore and offshore (Suzhou, China) development teams. Set up various development, build, release, QA and deployment processes. By focusing team’s efforts on design, architecture and reusability, improved efficiencies for developing and deploying the system for new customers. Member of the engineering team that built an instant messaging and presence based collaboration and web conferencing consumer application that enabled them to conduct ad-hoc as well as scheduled on-line meetings. Joined at an early stage. Designed and developed various server side (C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MSMQ, WebServices, SQLServer) and client side (Flash, ActionScript, HTML, Javascript) software components.

Designed and implemented a framework for developing multimodal applications and built variety of applications using VoiceXML on it: directory assistants, voice activated dialers, voice activated information assistants etc. Technologies used: Java, JSP, MySQL, Nuance ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), Vocalizer TTS (Text To Speech), Grammar Builder, Speechworks OpenSpeech Recognizer and Speechify.

Co-founded NetMorf, a venture backed startup (Vantage Point Venture Partners and International Capital Partners) with a vision to provide a single cross-device mobile application server platform. Member of the Board of Directors.Designed and developed concepts, architecture and algorithms for the flagship product SiteMorfer, a cross-platform, multi-threaded, stateless, scalable and performant application server with XML driven server side template engine.Early on, served as VP Engineering: recruited and managed initial engineering team and successfully delivered versions: 1.5 and 2.0 of the product. Later on, served as Chief Scientist and guided the technical vision, implemented integration components, developed architectural and product strategies, performed competitive technology analyses, interfaced with analysts and supported the sales teams.SiteMorfer was awarded the best mobile platform by CrossRoads A-List Awards 2001 and NetMorf was named in the top 100 internet infrastructure companies of 2000-2001 by the PC Magazine.
