ORGANISATION AND PLANNING • Negotiation & Liaison with all Shipping Lines, Airlines, Road Freight transporters • Ensure that the most favorable freight rates are secured• Liaise with all transporters that containers are picked up and placed for packing• Communicate with all transporters on a regular basis ensuring timeous and effective logistic control• Ensure that containers are packed and turned into stacks for shipping• Monitor all documentation are in order i.e export / import bills of entry are released• Management of customs deferments – customs Vat and Customs duties payable• Ensure effective and efficient insurance claims are in place• Management of inbound and outbound cargo internationally• Monitoring of network forwarders in 75 cities globally• Liaison with agents, in all continents daily• Negotiation with all the international airlines• Management of Sea freight, air freight and road departments • Management of airfreight and sea freight debtor queries, foreign debtor queries and reconciliation of accountsFINANICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assume full responsibility for financial reporting and planning with focus on delivering robust and timely financial information • Maintaining effect controls and managing risks• Work with members of the executive team to develop, finance and implement growth objectives• Ensure that revenue and expenditure are in accordance with internal control

ORGANISATION AND PLANNING INTERDEPARTMENTAL – OPERATIONS• Airfreight – Imports & Exports departments• Sea freight – Imports & Exports departments• Road Freight – Over Border and local transport• Sea freight Groupages• Airfreight consol’s – break bulk handovers• Indent monitoring• RIB’s – acquittals• Custom’s monitoring and documentation, import & export bill of entry (DA500/DA550)• Management of customs deferments• Management of inbound and outbound cargo internationally• Monitoring of approximately 260 gateways in 60 cities internationally.• Liaison with agents, in all continents daily• Negotiation with all the international airlines.• Management of account/finance departments – petty cash• Management of sales department• Management of operations departmentFINANICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• Exercise financial and interdepartmental control over trade creditors, bookkeeping, general ledger, VAT, and PAYE/SDL returns as well as reasonability tests. • Responsible for financial integrity and management of the business in consultation with the MD• Assume full responsibility for financial reporting and planning with focus on delivering robust and timely financial information• Provide strategic direction on financial planning, management and accounting• Maintaining effect controls and managing risks• Co-corporate strategy development, implementation and monitoring • Work with members of the executive team to develop, finance and implement growth objectives• Ensure that revenue and expenditure are in accordance with internal controlCommunication• Assisting managing director in negotiating international gateways together with agents for both inbound and outbound traffic.• Assist the Marketing Director with securing co-operate accounts. • Assisting Managing Director in negotiating preferential rates with all shipping lines and major airlines.• Attending international conferences

FINANICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide strategic direction on financial planning, management and accounting• Perform Adhoc profitability and cost analysis• Maintaining effect controls and managing risks• Ensure that all work meets organizational, health and safety standards• Ensure that expenses meets departmental budgetGROUP AUDIT FUNCTIONS:• Responsible for related audit work as assigned by the Group Internal Auditor • Develop audit procedures• Identify and define audit findings• Review and analyze evidence and documentation of business procedures• Preparation of working papers and documenting the extent of work performed• Identify, develop, and document audit findings and recommendations by means of independent judgment concerning areas under review• Ensure and perform a evaluation is received for each completed audit• Plan and execute audit assignments • Assist in the development of an effective internal control environment• Perform enquiries and investigations as required by management • Monitor the implantation of fraud prevention policy
