A technocrat with a varied experience in a career spanning more than two decades in leadership roles in various areas of Telecommunications in telecom bureaucracy as an officer of Indian Telecom Service.Presently working as General Manager (Business Area Head) in Mysore Karnataka Previously(Nov 21 to April 24) worked in Department of Telecom on issues related to investment and manufacturing in Indian Telecom Sector. Was Mission Director for Production Linked Incentive Scheme in Telecom and Networking Products- a flagship Government initiative for indigenous manufacturing. Also worked( Sept 2015 to Oct 2021) as Joint Advisor in TRAI dealing with policy and regulatory aspects of telecom networks including licenses. Was instrumental in formulating TRAI recommendations related to regulatory framework for Internet Telephony. Also associated with formulating TRAI regulations on Cable Landing Stations for Submarine optical fibre cables which ensures fair international connectivity for operators in India.Appointed as a lead expert in “Policy, Regulations and Services” working group in South Asian Telecom Regulators Council during 2017-18This has followed a successful and challenging tenure of 20 plus years in Telecommunications operations and maintenance in landline telephone services, Mobile telephony, Transmission systems as well as Internet. Associated with Transmission Network Planning and Internet Bandwidth Management. Strengths include Varied experience, ability to multi-task and undertaking challenging tasks and assignments.Also doubles up as an Avid Reader and Speaker on telecom related issues in national and international forums.
