I have worked for 34 years in Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Departments. Out of these 34 years, I worked for 22 years in Mumbai. In Mumbai I worked at various stations i.e. Mumbai Customs, Nhava Seva Customs, Air Cargo Complex, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, etc. I have also worked in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Vapi and Surat. During this period, I attended various works like Customs Appraisement, examination of goods, issuance of Show Cause Notices, Adjudication, Anti Evasion, Refund, Drawback, Export, Registration, etc. I organised various seminars to facilitate trade. I also took various measures for the quick clearance of goods from the Customs area. I also worked for 3 years as Senior Departmental Representative (SDR) at CESTAT, Ahmedabad. It always remained my passion to argue my cases effectively and persuade the authorities to agree with my views on the basis of facts and the relevant case laws. Apart from having an interest on the above subjects, I'm also very keen to write on the issues like archaeology, history, sociology and current affairs.
