A. Integration of Carla (open-source autonomous driving simulator) with project ASLAN (open-source autonomous driving software for low-speed applications). •Developed intermediate skills with Java, Linux, Redis, JSON, serial communication, TCP communication by designing and implementing communication protocols, robot movement sequences, and coffee making logic for a robotic barista system.•The robotic barista system comprised of two robot arms working in parallel and in co-ordination to perform various actions analogous to a human barista to make coffee. The coffee orders were placed by the customers via an app. The supporting devices such as grinder, coffee machine, dose control, temperature sensors, pressure sensors etc were actuated and monitored via serial communication with microcontrollers. The robot arms were controlled by means of TCP communication.•Attained ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, rapidly acquiring new knowledge about computing software, robot and working under strict deadlines. Also, acquired ability to work as part of a team by initiating and sharing ideas, break down complex information, negotiating, and providing suggestions.

• Developed intermediate skills with Linux, Robot Operating System, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Java Script by implementing a web interface for a SCARA robot arm. This allows the user to issue commands to control the movements, monitor various attributes of the robot arm, generate log messages of various actions performed and their responses via browser.• The system included monitoring and controlling of the physical robot using buttons, toggle switches, text boxes and text areas. The web page was implemented in a responsive manner which adapts to different screen sizes of various client devices.• Attained ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, rapidly acquiring new knowledge about computing software, robot and working under strict deadlines.

• Developed intermediate skills with Linux, Robot Operating System, Python, HTML and Javascript by implementing a tele-operation system for controlling the joints of a robot arm with a mobile base in simulation.• The system included control of the simulated robot using buttons, interactive markers and speech via web interface.• Attained ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, rapidly acquiring new knowledge about computing software, and working under strict deadlines.
