BRIDGING CULTURES GLOBALLYThe Global Culture Exchange Program of India (GCEPI) is a group of young and dynamic professionals who have come together with a vision to bridge cultural differences between different countries and to promote inter-cultural understanding with the students of schools and colleges at global level. GCEPI programs expose students to people from different cultural, religious, geographic and socio-economic backgrounds and in doing so, provide them the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of diversity – both in India and worldwide. They allow students to interact and learn from people who are different from themselves and from various communities other than their own. Cultural exchange assists students to develop positive relationships with others, broaden their range of perspectives and develop the knowledge and skills required in a multicultural society.Most importantly, our programs are process-centered and involve collaboration of the schools and colleges participating. We encourage complete involvement of the school staff, students, parents and community members in determining the goal/s, content and intended outcomes of our program. Our organization is flexible to the idea that goals can change as the program evolves. GCEPI's cultural exchange programs focus on a number of curriculum-based or cross-curriculum based areas. These areas may be delivered in a variety of ways. They may take the form of a one on one or a brief socio-cultural experience or an on-going relationship-focused program.
