TYPE OF INDUSTRY: Electrical Control Panels, Distribution Boxes, PCC, MCC, APFC Panels Design based on Sheet Metal Working.FUNCTIONAL AREA: Mechanical Design based on Sheet Metal operations under Project Division; Handling a group of people includes junior engineers, supervisors, labors etc.Initial step involves understanding the Customer Requirements, Space available for panel installation (like front and rear access) which are included in General Arrangement drawing to start Design.Planning of small Resources, Manufacturability, and preparation of low cost product with satisfactory quality is our main aim. Time management is a critical part in Design.Regularly Mechanical Design of a Control Panel involves 2 Distinct LevelsMechanical structure design (sheet metal operations)Busbar design and arrangement.Mechanical structure design based on Sheet Metals is strictly as per the General Arrangement Drawings,IP standards, switchgear type, frame type, installation requirement at site with proper heat transfer from Control panel due to High Ampere Rating and any other Special Requirements of the customer.Bus bar Design starts with bus bar selection (Cross-Section) according to the ampere Rating, fault level, clearance within phase, earth & Neutral. It also involves Selection of proper supports to avoid the vibrations in high ampere Rating Conditions and proper hardware selections etc. Preparation of Bill of Materials, Route Sheet and purchase requirement of material in MS Office/ excel & issue it to the Purchase & manufacturing departments.Also dealing with 3D & 2D modeling using part design, assembly preparation, Drafting of designed parts and preparing flat pattern by using Solid Edge, Auto-CAD etc.
