A journalist with three decades of experience, I have worked with leading national and international news organisations such as the Press Trust of India (where I was the Editor), Hindustan Times (where I built a digital-first newsroom and led organisational transformation) and The Associated Press (where I covered the Indian economy for a global audience). More recently, I conceptualised and launched The Secretariat - a digital-only publication (www.thesecretariat.in), offering deep-dive analyses and insights on public policy. My journey has taken me from Chitrakonda in the outback of Odisha to New Delhi and several other parts of the world. I studied economics at Delhi University and JNU. A few years ago, I founded the Forum for Odisha Dialogues -- a non-partisan thought leadership forum for a meaningful dialogue on the state’s future.
