Implementing the Van Dhan Scheme in Maharashtra for the past three years. This scheme aims to empower tribal communities by providing them with skills, training, and financial support to set up small businesses related to forest products.It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey as we worked towards creating sustainable livelihoods for these marginalized communities. We provided them with training on value addition, product development and marketing techniques to help them sell their products in the market.We also helped them access finance through various government schemes and assisted in setting up cooperatives to facilitate collective bargaining and better prices for their produce.The impact of this scheme has been tremendous. It has not only helped generate income for the tribal communities but also conserved forests and biodiversity. The increased economic activity has also reduced migration from rural areas to urban centers.Overall, it has been an enriching experience working towards the betterment of these communities through the Van Dhan Scheme. The Van Dhan Scheme is doing some really great work to support indigenous communities across India.

Medical College and UNICEF, was responsible for Contacting the Youth of slum areas, formation of their clubs, formation of training needs and conducting the sameCollecting data on HIV infected and affected youths, referring them to the Government hospital, and follow up of medical protocolConducting HIV testing of high-risk groups with the help of the Government Diagnostic center Counseling of the youth on sexuality and explaining to them the use of a condom Preparation of monthly and yearly reports.
