As the Director for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) , the major responsibility was to maintain a high performance team in India to support the global business of Cognizant across multiple vertical business verticals . I had worked on system to provide guidance to different verticals to help them plan for actions that will lead to improvement in their business profitability, supported with monthly Flash reports and in-depth analysis. Was also accountable and responsible for the performance and enhancement of the internal reporting tools of Cognizant . As part of Corporate role, supported all external reporting needed for the auditors, SEC, Financial Analysts in US & UK markets . I was also involved in leading the post Merger integration of Indian unit of a major European Bank that was acquired by Cognizant in late 2009

I essayed the role of Business controller for APAC region that comprise of India & Philippines . My major assignment was to set up the newly created Philippines geography and ensure all processes & Financial management are set up in compliance with law of land & PEZA rules. While stationed in Manila , my "People First " philosophy helped me to get great talent in the country in 2008 , some of whom are still with the company as leaders. I ensured the creation and success of Provincial Strategy in Philippines ( setting up centres in Non-Manila provinces) that was the dream project of CEO. With the well-oiled process set up (backed up by well documented SOP) at the time of inception , today Philippines is not only the largest geo for Sutherland but also the fastest growing and most profitable geography.

As Senior Manager, I led a team of 8 personnel and reported to the Global Head of Transportation and to Chief Delivery Officer, India. The major responsibility was to enhance profitability of the business units and client delivery management, ensuring project delivery in compliance with time and budgetary parameters and attaining customer satisfaction. Supported multiple business units like EDS India, Global Transportation Business Unit at the USA in the areas of analyzing variance of actual (financials, headcount, billable FTEs) against the target & outlook and reporting of reasons for variances.
