Research Area: Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Peptide Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Peptide Drug Design, Spectroscopy.I am a medicinal chemistry and drug discovery scientist trying to decode questions regarding drug design, synthesis, discovery, and optimization of compounds having medicinal value (small molecules and peptides) for different diseases associated with human and therapeutic targets employing pharmaceutical sciences approaches.Expertise and Experience: Experience in drug designing, synthesis, and biological testing of synthesized peptides and small molecules using various biochemical techniques. I also have expertise in the rationalized design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of peptides/peptidomimetics and small molecules, including the synthesis of peptides, modification of amino acids, and synthesis of self-assembled peptides/peptidomimetics. My experience in synthetic medicinal and organic chemistry includes the application of various techniques such as organometallics and organo-catalysis synthesis, handling with anhydrous reactions, microwave-assisted synthesis of small molecules, and purification using Prep-HPLC, flash, prep-TLC, TLC, and column chromatography. I also have experience in post-synthesis data interpretation of NMR, FTIR, HPLC, CD, LSMS, HRMS, EM (HRTEM, STEM), and Fluorescence.To investigate the biological activity of synthesized peptides and molecules, I have experience in various techniques such as enzyme-based assay, MMT assay, Th-T fluorescence assay, ANS fluorescence assay, and cytotoxicity study. Furthermore, I have expertise in various spectroscopy techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), Zeta, CD spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), gel electrophoresis, FTIR, NMR, and HRMS study to understand their mode of action (MOA).
