I am a dual qualified lawyer in England & Wales and India, with over 19 years of legal and litigation experience. I specialise in patent, supplementary protection certificate and regulatory matters within the pharmaceutical, life sciences and high technology industries, and have dealt with a wide spectrum of products and technologies over the years. I have in-depth experience of handling and coordinating high value, multi-jurisdictional patent/SPC/PTE/RDP/FRAND/SEP litigation across Europe, Asia and in the US, including life cycle management of medicinal products. Prior to joining Novartis, I was instrumental in successfully enforcing the current European data and marketing exclusivity regime for the very first. I have an adaptive leadership style and believe in developing and leading dynamic and agile teams that seek to proactively devise and implement creative IP strategies to protect and maximise value of company’s assets with a view to securing a competitive advantage in line with company’s core values and vision. To successfully pursue this goal, I believe it is essential to effectively collaborate with other stakeholders and be fully aware of the ever changing commercial, legal, societal and regulatory environments. I have spoken, written and published extensively on topical issues relating to intellectual property.  I have also worked on several intellectual property projects funded by organizations such as the European Commission and UK Research Councils.
