Rajesh is an accomplished cement industry leader with 38+ years’ experience. He has served in leadership positions across Sales & Marketing and SCM functions in ACC Limited and has been actively involved in Sales and Marketing strategy formulation, branding & product launches and P&L Management.He is a results and people oriented leader with key achievements including driving substantial operational & performance improvement in ACC’s business. He has deep expertise in consumer and commercial excellence, formulating Sales & Marketing strategy, branding, managing and motivating high performance teams, providing creative and innovative leadership under challenging market conditions, taking strategic initiatives in SCM systems, processes and logistics infrastructure, and achieving cost leadership in logistics through transformational initiatives.He also led the Logistics Safety Improvement Programme at ACC in 2011 for which he received Holcim’s OH&S Excellence Award for South Asia/ASEAN at Zurich in 2013 and laid the foundation for the focus on road safety within the organisation. The relentless focus on the impactful and transformational initiatives covering People, Vehicles and Processes were subsequently also adopted across the cement industry by other leading cement producers and members of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in India and accelerated the Indian cement industry's transition towards sustainable development.Rajesh was actively involved in various industry forums including WBCSD (TF/3) and FICCI and served as a member of FICCI’s National Committee on Infrastructure. He also worked closely with Indian Railways for formulation of policy relating to commercial and technical aspects, and with RITES for design and development of special wagons for transportation of bulk materials like cement and gypsum.He was a core faculty for Holcim’s Regional Induction Programmes in South Asia/ASEAN and Task Force leader for Holcim’s Capability Building Forum for Asia Pacific Region. He also served as an Adjunct Professor for a year at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi [LBSIM] and has been a visiting faculty to several reputed B-Schools.
