Additionally, I managed the participation of the Nadathur Group as a Limited Partner (LP) in select venture funds and in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) investing in late-stage Food Tech and Crypto companies.

Co-FounderMyndbee Inc. Feb 2014 - Jun 2017I incubated and invested in Myndbee as a portfolio startup of Nadathur Technologies. Our goal was to whip up a chat platform that would become the go-to mobile chat app in the era of WhatsApp, FB messenger, and WeChat. To stand out in the crowd, we sprinkled some fun into the mix. Enter our first app, Diffr, where users could be themselves, go undercover, or even pull off some neat impersonations within closed groups.But, when some users roasted us for allowing impersonations (oh boy!) for the mischief it could create, we rapidly pivoted to a picture messaging experience with Picpal. Users embarked on a chat journey by exchanging selfies within lively collages. The initial frenzy of adoption was electrifying, but like a rollercoaster, the ride turned into a casual spin.So we gracefully called it a day in mid-2017, closing the curtain on our three-year wild, yet oh-so-fun, startup adventure.

Acting CtoNext Story Group 2015 - 2016Singapore, SgNext Story Group (previously Silver Needle Hospitality), a hotel management company overseeing a portfolio of over 40 hotels within the Australia and Southeast Asia regions, underwent a phase of transition in 2015. In response to this organisational shift, I was tasked by the investors to restructure the Information Technology (IT) team. Additionally, I was mandated with streamlining and optimizing software systems across property management systems (PMS), revenue management, loyalty management, back-end operations, financial systems, distribution channels, and in-room technologies. I re-built the IT team, undertook the transformation, and in due course, hired a full-time CTO to power the Group's growth. -

VpFlex 2005 - 2006Austin, Texas, UsEmuzed, the startup I co-founded, was acquired by Flextronics in 2005. I was charged with managing the P&L of the mobile multimedia software business unit delivering solutions to mobile OEMs and Service Providers in the US, Europe and Asia. Parallelly, I was part of the CTO's office working on a few strategic projects aimed at adding value to the OEM offerings of Flextronics. -
CtoEmuzed 2001 - 2005Our vision at Emuzed was to power every smartphone with music playback, photo capture and video communications. In 2001, very few phones had multimedia capabilities and smartphones were just being designed. We started the company in 2001 just before the tech bust. With VC funding having dried up, our only source of sustaining and growing was revenues - which I was responsible for. I set up and led our sales and marketing teams in the US, Europe and Asia. And our business development team to effectively work with our ecosystem of silicion, OS and UX partners. I learnt my most valuable lessons in building a business -- great team, fantastic communications and a laser focus on people, product, delivery and revenues. Within 3 years, we had 8 of the top 10 mobile OEMs shipping our multimedia software solutions in their smartphones. It was extremely gratifying to see our software in a majority of the smartphones shipped around the world; and to lead the company to become cash flow positive and profitable. We were acquired by Flextronics in 2005. -
Member Of Technical StaffLucent Technologies 1998 - 2001Lucent Digital Video was spun out from Lucent in 1997 with internal venture funding. The US was transitioning to Digital TV from analog around 1997; and we at LDV were instrumental in bringing about this change by developing broadcast encoding and decoding video products. I was responsible for the algorithms and software of our High Definition encoding products, and our statistical multiplexing product which increased the number of channels that could be broadcast by 30% in the same bandwidth. I represented LDV at international standard bodies; and authored international standards documents as well as peer reviewed publications. And supported business development and sales wearing an FAE hat as and when required. We were acquired by Lucent. -
