I am a Neuroscientist with academic and pharmaceutical industry experience with considerable experience in establishing new relationships for business development in areas of fund raising, drug discovery and development, in-licensing and out-licensing activities.I have been a part of two start-up teams and have worked on drug discovery and development along with commercialization process, building business model and forecasting business models.I am currently working as the Director of Business Development, Search & Evaluation for the therapeutic areas of Neuroscience, Ophthalmology and Metabolic diseases.     Graduate Research Experience • Investigated the effect of enhanced electrical activity and trophic factors in rat retina both in vivo and in vitro. • Standardized Intraocular Injection technique in adult and new born rat pups. • Planned, programmed and succeeded in employing the optimal dosage of trophic factors and excitatory amino acid glutamate to examine cell death in retina. • Determined the critical time for intraocular injections in rat pups to prevent cell death. • Succeeded in establishing the ideal conditions for retinal ganglion cell survival when grown in vitro. • Evaluated quantitative and qualitative cell death in retina under different experimental conditions both in vivo and in vitro conditions.
