• Develop the essential Procedures and Plans to Warehouse, Inventory Control to cover all aspects of the Section’s functions and responsibilities.• To manage and organize the Warehouse to ensure all materials and spare parts are maintained in original and/or good condition, ready, identifiable, traceable, accessible and accountable.• To ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables items in the Warehouse and requisitioned as per the approved Inventory Control Procedure.• To arrange proper stock taking of Warehouse and Open Storage Yard materials and the spare parts as per scheduled and approved interval and to verify and correct the results of stock taking. To take proper measures, to avoid discrepancies.• To plan measures of improvement and development of the Warehouse and Open Storage Yard and to find out the latest developments in electronic equipment and other machinery that help in the Warehouse and implement them.• To ensure that the spare parts and materials are safe from inappropriate weather or any other effects which may spoil the stock.• To prepare and manage annual budget of the Warehouses Section and establish controls to assure optimum deployment of resources within the approved budget.• To receive all communications and documents pertaining to Warehouses activities and attend the same. • To issue reports in respect of obsolete materials, dead and aging items in the Warehouse and Open Storage Yard and submit the same to user departments for proper review and to identify the items need to be written-off.• To prepare plans to develop Warehouse staff and enhance their wellbeing and capability through Training and recommendation for promotion.• Responsible for improvement and development of Warehouses and Storage Yard and maintain the spare parts in original and/or in good condition.• Responsible for adherence of Company’s approved Warehouse and Inventory Policies and Procedures.

• Streamlining the system, procedures, establishing effective inventory control for slow, non-moving, obsolete material by maintaining Perpetual Inventory, Inventory Basis on ABC & FSN Classification; using inventory management system & procedure for effective store management and inventory control thus ensuring ready availability of material.• Was awarded a Star award, for developing in house casting of spares from old and used brass material for in-house consumption. The brass was recovered within the plant by laying the policy of "issuance of new material in exchange of old". This has lead towards a cost saving of Rs 2.5 crores by a decline in purchase of brass materials 2014-2016.• Efficiently planned and implemented an internal user friendly system to deliver the spares at users door stop (i.e “Stores at your door step”). This has reduced the idle time of operations team.• Bagged Best Performance Award for reducing inventory by Rs 5 crores through proper control and monitoring of inventory.• Efficiently worked as 5S coordinator for stores and performed scrap sales• Worked on recertification & documentation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001• Led a team of 5 members for 100% perpetual inventory in stores and also shifted around 10,000 numbers of spares & consumables by updating the location in SAP.• Deftly monitored the entire stores functions of HRD (Hot rolling Division) and CRD (Cold rolling Division) stores. • Successfully developed a standard system for receipt of material at stores, RGP & NRGP.• Managing activities related to inventory planning & procurement of 2200+ stores control items
